We are now on the sixth generation of dogs that originated from the Wheatrig line of Tom Ramsay. This breeding base has produced some wonderful working dogs – biddable, fantastic temperaments, good looks and delightful gundogs.
In 2000 we added to our breeding when we purchased Leadburn Penny from Billy Steel Senior, from Leadhills in the Scottish Borders. Penny has proved to be the most wonderful shooting companion and has produced some lovely working Labradors. Penny is mother to Meg, who her last litter of puppies at the end of 2010. We kept Jenny a black bitch and Troy a yellow dog by FTCh Eastdale Guss.
In the summer of 2010, Craighorn Elimbah joined us from Tom Smith in Kincardine Bridge. A very stylish strong black Labrador bitch by FTCh Drakeshead Indiana, out of FTCh Lochmuir Aimee that we feel sure will go onto great things in the shooting field, we feel lucky to have her.
We travel extensively when looking for a suitable stud dog and have used only proven dogs in both the working and field trial environment.
